we are given

[tex] AQ=18 [/tex]

and we have to find QE

we know that centroid divides median into 2:1

so, for median AE

we can write it as

[tex] AQ=\frac{2}{3} AE [/tex]

now, we can plug AE

[tex] 18=\frac{2}{3} *AE [/tex]

[tex] AE=27 [/tex]

now, we can find QE

[tex] QE=\frac{1}{3} AE [/tex]

we can plug AE=27

and we get

[tex] QE=\frac{1}{3} *27 [/tex]

[tex] QE=9 [/tex]..............Answer
