So, what you would do is divide 3 by 8 to get the decimal. You wouldn't divide the 9 by anything because that would be put in front of it. the answer is 9.375

9.375 You can express the fraction 3/8 as asexual by division.Divide 8 into 3 and you get0.375 not 1.375.
