Substitution
2x - 3y = -5
      +3y   +3y
2x=-5 + 3y
divide both sides by 2
x = -2.5 + 1.5y

16 - 5x = 2y
16 - 5(-2.5 + 1.5y) = 2y
16 - 12.5 + 7.5y = 2y
3.5 + 7.5y = 2y
       -7.5y    -7.5y
3.5 = -5.5y
divide both sides by -5.5
y= -0.54 repeating and then you substitute that for y into either equation to figure out what x is. Sorry, my math might be wrong, I'm a middle schooler so uhh yeah
